The Prairie Pedestal is crafted in oak with walnut accents. Two coats of Danish oil provide the gently lustrous finish. The horizontal flat top platform allows for a plant or vase of freshly cut flowers. Immediately below the platform is a hidden flocked drawer to put small items of value or what have you. SURPRISE!, there are TWO hidden flocked drawers, the second is near the bottom of the pedestal, both have a inside size of 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ deep. AND one more surprise: a hidden cavity of space 25″ tall (covered by the outer wood that doubles as a door). The inside space is divided by a horizontal shelf. Inside measurements are 7″ wide and deep. What can you do with your space? It’s up to you, my largest ceramics fit in each half of this space. I think its a striking piece with hidden intrigue.
